民進黨主席暨總統參選人蔡英文的臉書遭中國大陸網友以大量留言灌爆，對於大陸網友的行為，蔡英文表示「歡迎光臨」，並希望他們能更完整的看見民主、自由、多元的台灣。對此，目前在美國訪問的國民黨主席暨總統參選人朱立倫在台北時間12日上午於臉書上留言，表示他可以理解蔡英文表達「歡迎光臨」的態度，並為蔡英文加油。
朱立倫在臉書上表示，他聽說了中國大陸網友惡意灌爆蔡英文的臉書，他可以理解蔡英文表達「歡迎光臨」的態度，他認為這是一種高度，也透露出處理兩岸問題的困難度。
另外，朱立倫也表示，他因為時差，直到凌晨出發去華府時，才知道中華隊在12強世界棒球賽獲勝的消息，他要為中華隊加油，也為蔡英文加油。
